The album is now almost at night, yet two more stories remain to be told.
Jeff Rona is a renowned composer and artist whose evocative scores span film, television, and video games. His standout film credits include White Squall (Ridley Scott), Mission: Impossible 2, Gladiator, Thin Red Line, and Black Hawk Down. On television, he’s known for scoring series like Homicide: Life on the Street, Chicago Hope, The Dead Zone, Dominion, and Fear Itself (and others). His video game work includes iconic titles like God of War III, Far Cry 4, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil, The Walking Dead – The Last Mile, and Call of Duty 6.
The youngest son of European immigrants, he studied music, art, and photography before leaving formal education to pursue a creative life in music, beginning as an in-demand studio musician, arranger, ethnic woodwind player, synthesist, sound designer, and music programmer in both Los Angeles and New York, working with luminaries like Philip Glass, Hans Zimmer, Mark Isham, Basil Poledouris, Lisa Gerrard, Cliff Martinez, and others. Rona’s music has appeared in Oscar, Peabody, BAFTA, and Emmy-winning productions. As a recording artist, he performed with Jon Hassell’s ensemble, co-composed City-Works Of Fiction (Warp Records), and performed with Brian Eno and global ensembles such as Dead Can Dance, Lisa Gerrard (solo), and Nyaz. His first solo album Projector was released to critical acclaim, and has been followed up with VAPOR and LUME.
