Austin Collins (born September 18, 1992), better known as Au5 (pronounced “A-U-Five”), is an American electronic musician originally from New Jersey. He started musical training very early, taking classical piano lessons from the age of 4. Around 13 he began learning bass guitar and experimenting with digital music production.
Au5’s music spans many genres: dubstep, trance, house, drum & bass, ambient, glitch hop, and more. He is best known for blending the melodic elements of trance with the power and complexity of bass music.

Au5 has been a long-time friend of Dean Korso. In 2020 Dean invited him to take part in the documentary film Creativity Code, a project exploring the nature of creativity, the balance between intuition and technology, and the ways artists unlock inspiration. Together they wrote original music for the film’s trailer, marking a creative milestone in their collaboration.
