06 lagrange point (with Moby)
lagrange point marks a turning point in the journey. It is the first point of no return - the moment when familiar perceptions collapse under the gravity of a deeper truth. A breakthrough. A shift. A place where internal limits dissolve and an infinite expanse of new sensations and meanings unfolds.

The name refers to a phenomenon in astrophysics - the Lagrange point - where the gravitational forces of two massive celestial bodies cancel out the pull on a smaller object, creating a space of perfect balance. For us, this is a metaphor for a spiritual experience: the exact moment when we first break free from the gravity of the material world and glimpse true inner freedom.

Structure and Atmosphere

The track unfolds in two contrasting movements, mirroring the stages of awakening:

  • The first section builds tension and pressure — a slow, powerful surge toward release. Layers expand, the sound grows wide and cinematic, capturing the intensity of the inner transformation just before the threshold is crossed.
  • The second section brings sudden stillness, like floating through silence. Boundaries vanish. Awareness takes over. A distant, reverberated piano echoes through the vastness, dissolving into the soundscape - a symbol of transcendence and the immensity of the shift.
The production blends Moby’s signature ambient textures with our layered electronic sound design, moving between emotional intensity and deep atmospheric space.

Collaboration with Moby

lagrange point is the result of a unique collaboration with Moby - a pioneer of ambient and electronic music. His work has always explored the emotional and spiritual dimensions of sound, and this track continues that exploration.

Moby’s approach - minimal, reflective, cinematic - resonates deeply with the core idea behind this piece: stepping beyond the known, beyond form, into a moment of quiet, powerful transformation.

Context Within the Album
Earlier tracks traced a path of discovery and self-searching. lagrange point marks the crossing - the threshold moment. It’s the emotional and conceptual midpoint of the album. After it, nothing remains quite the same. The journey turns inward, deeper, toward something even more timeless and abstract.
Moby was born Richard Melville Hall in Harlem, NYC in 1965. His father gave him his nickname “Moby” when he was 10 minutes old, as a result of his hereditary relationship to Herman Melville. Moby started playing classical music and studying music theory when he was 9 years old, and then came of age musically in the punk rock scene in and around NYC in the early 80’s. He released his first single, “Go,” in 1991 (listed as one of “Rolling Stone'' magazine's best records of all time), and has been making albums ever since. He has sold over 20,000,000 albums worldwide.

In addition to making his own records, Moby has also produced and remixed artists as varied and disparate as David Bowie, Public Enemy, Ozzy Osbourne, The Beastie Boys, and Daft Punk, to name a few. Moby also works with and supports a variety of non-profit organizations, including The Humane Society, Emily’s List, The ACLU, and The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function.
